2.14.010 Designated.

The offices of city clerk, city attorney, and city treasurer shall henceforth be appointive. (Ord. 639 § 1, 1972).

2.14.020 Authority.

In accordance with RCW 35.23.021, the mayor shall henceforth appoint a city clerk, a city treasurer and city attorney, which appointment shall be subject to confirmation by a majority vote of the city council. (Ord. 1590 § 1, 2007: Ord. 1312 § 1, 1996: Ord. 639 § 2, 1972).

2.14.030 City treasurer.

The city treasurer shall exercise all the powers vested in and perform all the duties required to be performed by the treasurer and as detailed in RCW 35.23.131. (Ord. 1590 § 3, 2007).

2.14.040 City clerk.

The city clerk shall exercise all the powers vested in and perform all the duties required to be performed by the city clerk and as detailed in RCW 35.23.121. (Ord. 1590 § 4, 2007).

2.14.050 References.

Any reference to clerk/treasurer in city ordinances shall mean henceforth city clerk. (Ord. 1590 § 5, 2007).
