REFUND OF DEPOSITS FOR CITY UTILITY SERVICE

15.76.010 Refund of deposit – Requirement of new deposit for delinquent account.

(1) Deposits for city utility service, as provided by LMC 15.12.020 and 15.56.020, which remain in good standing after three successive years, shall be refunded to the customer in whose name such deposit is credited. Such refund shall be effected only by applying such deposit in partial payment of the city utilities bill or bills then next becoming due.

(2) In the event that a city utility customer’s account should become delinquent after such refund, the manager may require a new deposit to be made in accordance with LMC 15.12.020 and 15.56.020 prior to reconnection or continuing of the utility service to such customer. (Res. 1965, 2010).
