A. The purpose of the private road procedure is to provide a mechanism by which those roads that are not public may be recognized within the city for street addressing purposes.
B. Street names shall neither duplicate nor be subject to confusion with the spelling or the pronunciation of any existing street name in the city. For the purpose of this chapter, a different tag name (Avenue, Court, etc.) or directional (North, East, etc.) shall not be sufficient to avoid a duplicate name. (Ord. 92-02 § 2 (part), 1992.)

A. Preapplication. An informal preapplication conference with planning department staff prior to the submittal of the application is encouraged.
