2.16.010 Designated.

The City Clerk/Treasurer, Attorney, Treasurer, Police Chief or Officer in Charge, and Fire Chief are appointed by the Mayor, and must be confirmed by the Council. Appointed officers serve at the pleasure of the Council the length of their services determined by the Council. If any officer is dismissed, the reason for dismissal must be given to the officer, in writing and signed by four or more members of the Council. 2.16.020 Classification.

Appointed officers are exempt from rules and regulations governing the classified service. Some or all of the personnel regulations may be made applicable to selected positions by resolution. All other employees in the classified service, except supervisors, may be designated as classified or exempt by resolution. (Ord. 96-04, 1996; Ord. 97-06, 1997; Ord. 14-23 § 4, 2015)

2.16.030 Pay and benefits.
