2.26.010    Established.

2.26.020    Appointment.

2.26.030    Duties.

2.26.010 Established.

There is established, in accordance with AS 29.20.400, the Public Works Department. Executive and administrative duties are vested in the Public Works Director. (Ord. 09-20 § 4, 2009)

2.26.020 Appointment.

The Public Works Director shall be appointed by the Mayor, confirmed by the Council, and serves at the pleasure of the Council. (Ord. 09-20 § 4, 2009)

2.26.030 Duties.

The duties of the Public Works Department shall include supervision and responsibility of:

A. Road maintenance;

B. Utility permits;

C. Driveway permits;

D. Construction permits;

E. Maintenance, custodial services, repair, minor construction renovation and upkeep of all rolling stock, buildings, and lands; and

F. Other duties as assigned by the Mayor. (Ord. 09-20 § 4, 2009)
