8.12.010 AMBULANCE SERVICE; INTENT.
The borough shall exercise the power to provide ambulance service as approved by the electorate to promote efficiency and performance of emergency medical services throughout the borough.

8.12.020 ORGANIZATION.
(A) Ambulance service shall be organized in service units. Each unit shall have equipment and staff for providing service principally within a geographically defined area.
(B) Rescue service shall be organized in rescue service units. Each unit shall have equipment and staff for providing service principally within a geographically defined area.
(C) Each service unit shall be administered by the manager. The finance director shall maintain accounts for each service unit and shall make authorized disbursements.
(D) The manager shall provide for uniform policies, procedures and standards for the administration and operation of all ambulance and rescue services as appropriate.
(E) Each service unit shall coordinate with the emergency medical services board on budget requests and matters for which the board is responsible.
