8.10.010 Licensing fee.
There is levied a motor vehicle registration fee within the city. The fee shall be levied, collected, enforced and otherwise administered in accordance with Title 28 of Alaska Statutes. (Ord. O-93-6-6 § 1 (part), 1994)
8.10.030 Snowmobile license stickers.
(a) No person shall park, drive or operate any snowmobile or all-terrain vehicle upon any street or any municipal property in the city without having attached upon such vehicle a license prescribed and issued by the city.
(b) Before any such license will be issued, the applicant shall make written application to the city clerk upon prescribed forms of the city and in accordance with rules hereinafter enumerated and shall have paid the fee prescribed in the following schedule.
(c) For any such vehicle the fee for the license required by this section shall be twenty-five dollars.
(d) The license when issued shall consist of a prescribed paper sticker, and the owner, operator or driver of any licensed snowmobile or all-terrain vehicle shall at all times during the year for which issued have such license permanently stuck on and attached to the cowl or gas tank of the vehicle for which it was issued.
(e) All such vehicles held for resale by dealers possessing a business license for such retail sales shall be exempt from the license sticker provision. (Ord. O-08-01-01 § 2 (part), 2008; Ord. O-93-6-6 § 1 (part), 1994)
8.10.040 Age—Vehicle operation.
No one under the age of fourteen years of age will operate any motor driven vehicle on the city’s streets. (Ord. O-93-6-6 § 1 (part), 1994)
