2.16.010 Mayoral appointments.
The Director of City Services, Police Chief, Fire Chief, Accountant, and special assistants to the Chief Executive shall be appointed by the Mayor and shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor. Termination of the Director of City Services, Police Chief, Fire Chief, and Accountant shall be subject to ratification by a majority vote of the City Council. 2.16.020 City Council appointments.
The City Clerk, City Attorney and the City Manager, if any, shall be appointed by the Council. They shall hold office for indefinite terms at the pleasure of the Council. (Ord. 07-04 § 2, 2007; Ord. 98-14 § 2, 1998; Ord. 94-8 § 2, 1994; Ord. 82-3 § 2-7, 1982)
2.16.030 Fiscal Agent duties.
The City Fiscal Agent shall have all duties assigned in Section 5.7 of the North Pole City Charter and other duties as may be assigned by Council and/or the Mayor. 2.16.040 City Attorney – Duties.
It is the duty of the City Attorney to advise the authorities and officers on legal matters pertaining to the business of the City on the written request of such officers specifying the matter on which advice is sought. (Ord. 94-8 § 2, 1994; Ord. 82-3 § 2-7, 1982)
2.16.050 City Clerk – Duties.
The City Clerk shall have all duties assigned in Section 5.5 of the City Charter and other duties as assigned by City Council. (Ord. 94-8 § 2, 1994)
