10.02.010 Blocking traffic.
A. It is unlawful for any person to stop, stand, or park any motor vehicle or other vehicle, upon a street in such manner as to leave available less than fifteen (15) feet1 of the width of the roadway for the free movement of vehicular traffic, except that a person may stop temporarily, in the actual loading or unloading of passengers, or in the observance of traffic signs or signals of the police.
B. It is unlawful for any person to park a motor vehicle, or other vehicle, within an alley or entrance to a private driveway except for the loading or unloading of materials, and not then unless such loading or unloading can be accomplished without blocking the alley to the free movement of vehicular traffic.
C. It is unlawful for any person to occupy or park a motor home, recreational vehicle, camper or similar type vehicle located either fully or partially on a paved street or sidewalk. (Ord. 22-446 § 1; Res. 22-1608)
10.02.020 Parking vehicles on sidewalks.
It is unlawful for any person to park any vehicle, whether in usable condition or not, or for an owner to permit his vehicle to be parked upon any sidewalk in the Town. (Ord. 22-446 § 1; Res. 22-1608)
10.02.030 Continuous parking.
No person shall park a vehicle in the same place of a public right-of-way in excess of forty-eight (48) consecutive hours after placement on the vehicle of written notification of the prohibition of this chapter. (Ord. 22-446 § 1; Res. 22-1608)
10.02.040 Parking on private property.
Written permission from the private property owner is required after seventy-two (72) hours of a complaint if a vehicle is parked on private property not owned by the owner of the registered vehicle. (Ord. 22-446 § 1; Res. 22-1608)
10.02.050 Violation – Penalty.
Civil traffic violations: any violation of or failure or refusal to do or perform any act required by this title shall constitute a civil traffic violation. Civil traffic violations are subject to the provisions of A.R.S. Title 28, any amendments thereto, and rules of procedure for civil traffic offenses.
Any person found guilty of violating any provision of this chapter shall be subject to a civil sanction which shall not exceed sixty dollars ($60.00).
Civil sanctions, if any, shall be levied in addition to any towing costs which result from the towing of a vehicle pursuant to this chapter. (Ord. 22-446 § 1; Res. 22-1608)
