2.15.010 Town officers.
A. There are hereby created the offices of town manager, town clerk, town marshal, town public works director, town attorney and town magistrate, all of whom shall be appointed by the council and who shall serve at the will and pleasure of the council, and the hiring, demotion or dismissal of an appointive officer or department head (as defined under state statute and this code) shall be subject to the approval of the council.
B. The council may appoint and remove from time to time such other appointive or department heads officers as it may deem necessary and that are provided for in this code or state statute, and the hiring, demotion or dismissal of an appointive officer or department head (as defined under state statute and this code) shall be subject to the approval of the council. 2.15.020 Treasurer and collector of taxes.
The town clerk shall act as treasurer and the town marshal shall act as collector of taxes. [Code 1983 § 3-1-2.]

2.15.030 Bond.
The provisions of TTC 2.10.060 shall apply to the town officers who are required by law to give bond. [Code 1983 § 3-1-4.]
2.15.040 Vacancies – Holding more than one office.
Any vacancy that shall occur in any town office shall be filled by appointment by the council; provided, that one person may hold more than one office and that at the discretion of the council, the functions of a town official may be validly performed and discharged by a deputy or another town official, or an otherwise qualified individual not holding office but employed at the pleasure of the council. 2.15.050 Additional powers and duties.
In addition to any powers and duties prescribed in this code, each officer shall have such further powers, perform such further duties, and hold such other office as may be provided by the council through ordinance, resolution or order. [Code 1983 § 3-1-6.]

2.15.060 Compensation of appointed officers.
Appointed officers shall be compensated in such manner as may be provided by the council. [Code 1983 § 3-1-7.]
