2.36.010 Consolidation of offices.
The offices of sheriff of the county and coroner of the county are consolidated. (Ord. 216 § 1, 1960)
2.36.020 Recruitment and training standards—Public safety dispatchers.
A. The county of Alpine declares that it desires to qualify to receive aid from the state of California under the provisions of Section 13510 (as amended by Chapters 710 and 966 of the Statutes of 1981) and Section 13525 of the California Penal Code relating to public safety dispatcher requirements and training.
B. Pursuant to Section 13522 of the California Penal Code, the Alpine County sheriff and public safety dispatchers of the county will adhere to the standards for recruitment and training established by the California Commission on Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST).
C. The county sheriff and public safety dispatchers will allow the Commission on POST and its representatives to make such inquiries as deemed appropriate by the Commission to ascertain that the sheriff and the public safety dispatchers will adhere to standards for recruitment and training established by the California Commission on POST.
