2.72.010 Contract authorization.

An amendment to the contract between the board of supervisors of the county and the Board of Administration, California Public Employees’ Retirement System is authorized.  A copy of the amendment to the contract is attached to the ordinance codified in this chapter as “Exhibit” and is incorporated herein by reference as though set forth here in full.  A copy of the amendment to the contract shall be placed on file in the office of the county clerk/recorder.  (Ord. 1458 §2(part), 1998).

2.72.020 Authority to execute contract.

The chairman of the board of supervisors is authorized, empowered and directed to execute such amendment for and on behalf of the county.  (Ord. 1458 §2(part), 1998).

2.72.030 Amendment of contract.

The board, by resolution or ordinance, as required by the Public Employees’ Retirement Board, may amend the contract at any time upon the approval of the Public Employees’ Retirement Board.  (Ord. 1458 §2(part), 1998).

2.72.040 Previous amendments.

The contract between the county and the Board of Administration of the Public Employees’ Retirement System was adopted September 2, 1947, effective October 1, 1947, and has been amended effective June 1, 1954, February 1, 1957, January 1, 1966, December 1, 1980, February 13, 1981, March 1, 1985, July 16, 1992, and October 22, 1992.  The board, by this chapter, authorizes the amendment of that contract further, effective July 1, 1998, which amendment is set forth in “Exhibit” to the ordinance codified in this chapter and incorporated in this section by reference as though set forth here in full.  Upon formal ratification by both parties, the amendment hereby approved shall be attached by the clerk of the board to the existing contract.  (Ord. 1458 §2(part), 1998).
