UTILITY USER TAX VOTER CONSENT

3.14.010 Title.
The ordinance codified in this chapter shall be known and may be cited as the utility user tax voter consent ordinance. (Ord. 787 § 1, 1996)
3.14.020 Imposition of tax for general purposes.
No utility user tax for general purposes shall be imposed without prior voter approval by a majority of the qualified electors of the city voting on the issue of the imposition. (Ord. 787 § 2, 1996)
3.14.030 Imposition of tax for special purposes.
No utility user tax for special purposes shall be imposed without prior voter approval by two-thirds of the qualified electors of the city voting on the issue of the imposition. (Ord. 787 § 3, 1996)
3.14.040 Application.
This chapter shall apply to any new, existing, extension or increase in any utility user tax. (Ord. 787 § 4, 1996)
3.14.050 Repeal or amendment.
This chapter shall not be repealed or amended except by vote of the qualified electors of the city. (Ord. 787 § 6, 1996)
