1.12.005 Passage of Ordinances.
A. The public convenience and necessity will be served by the consideration of certain ordinances of the City Council without reading them in full, but by reading the title.
B. All other ordinances may be passed by reading the title only provided they meet the following requirements:
1. Copies of the proposed ordinances must be in the hands of the members of the City Council before consideration;
2. Copies of the proposed ordinances must have been read by the members of the City Council before consideration; and
3. If any member of the public or the City Council requests that the ordinances be read in full, they shall be read in full before action is taken thereon. (Ord. 84-7 §§ 1, 2, 1984).
1.12.010 Publication of Ordinances.
Every ordinance adopted by the City Council shall be published once within 15 days after its passage in the official newspaper of the City. (Ord. 218 § 1, 1940; Ord. 158 § 2, 1935; Ord. 41 § 1, 1921; Ord. 2 § 3, 1916).
