8.24.010 Defined.

“Public waste containers” are those containers or receptacles placed on the City sidewalks, beaches, and other public lands for the convenience of the public. (Ord. 115 C.S. § 1, 1965; Code 1975 § 920).

8.24.020 Permitted Uses.

Public waste containers are intended for the deposit of such waste and litter as is generated in and upon the public streets, sidewalks, and lands of the City, such as cigarette and candy wrappers, waste paper, and garbage and waste incident to picnic meals consumed on the beaches. (Ord. 115 C.S. § 1, 1965; Code 1975 § 921).

8.24.030 Deposit of Garbage From Occupied Premises.

It is unlawful for any person to deposit in a public waste container any garbage or waste generated in or accumulated on any occupied premises within the City. (Ord. 115 C.S. § 1, 1965; Code 1975 § 922).
