10.56.010 Definition.

For the purpose of this chapter, the word “parade” shall mean a pedestrian procession of a group or groups of individual persons along that portion of the public right-of-way normally used for the movement of motor vehicles. (Ord. 321 C.S. § 1, 1974; Code 1975 § 569.0).

10.56.020 Parade Permit Required.

It is unlawful for any person to conduct or participate in any parade unless a parade permit has been issued therefor by the City. (Ord. 321 C.S. § 1, 1974; Code 1975 § 569.1).

10.56.030 Application for Permit – Issuance.

Any person desiring to conduct a parade within the City shall make application therefor to the Chief of Police or her/his designate. The Chief of Police or her/his designate in granting a permit for a parade may establish any conditions s/he feels are required for the protection of the public health, safety and welfare. The decision of the Chief of Police or her/his designate may be appealed to the City Council as provided for in Chapter 5.12 CMC. (Ord. 89-21 (Exh.
