10.64.010 48-Hour Limit – Removal.

A. No person who owns or has possession, custody or control of any vehicle, trailer, boat, or any other property shall park, stand, store or permit, suffer or allow such parking, standing or storing, upon any street, alley or City-owned or operated parking lot for more than a consecutive period of 48 hours.

B. In the event a vehicle, trailer, boat, or any other property is parked, stored or left standing upon a street, alley, or City-owned parking lot in excess of a consecutive period of 120 hours, any member of the Police Department authorized by the Chief of Police may remove the vehicle, trailer, boat, or other property from the street, alley or City-owned parking lot in the manner and subject to the requirements of the Vehicle Code and this code.

C. This section shall not apply to property reasonably placed on public property with the permission of the Director of Public Works while construction is actually in progress. (Ord. 76-9 § 1, 1976; Ord. 235 N.S. § 1, 1957; Code 1975 § 635).

10.64.020 Repairing Vehicles on Streets.

No person shall park a vehicle, trailer, boat, or any other mechanical equipment or device upon any street for the principal purpose of greasing or repairing the same, except repairs necessitated by an emergency. (Ord. 76-9 § 2, 1976; Ord. 235 N.S. § 2, 1957; Code 1975 § 636).
