SITE DRAINAGE

15.18.010 Adoption.

A. All site and roof runoff created by new or increased impervious area shall be directed onto the private property of its origin and infiltrated through an on-site stormwater management system designed in accordance with City of Carmel Standard Operating Guidance 17-07 (Resolution 2020-013) where possible and may not cross lot lines to adjoining properties unless an easement for that purpose is duly recorded with the Monterey County Recorder’s Office. Any runoff waters from the site that may be directed onto the public right-of-way or City storm drain system shall be done with prior approval of the Public Works Director.

B. Where required by the Public Works Director, oil-water separator devices shall be installed to filter all runoff waters prior to discharge onto the public storm drain system.

C. Storm waters and all runoff must be controlled at all times during construction. Barriers shall be placed around the construction site at the discretion of the Building Official and/or Public Works Director. (Ord. 2020-01 § 1, 2020; Ord. 2018-03 § 1 (Exh. A § 4), 2018; Ord. 2008-02 § 1, 2008).
