Chapter 3.28
SEWER MAINTENANCE ASSESSMENT
Sections:
3.28.010 Established.
Within the city there are hundreds of thousands of feet of sewers together with sewer pumping stations and other equipment which are necessary to provide for the removal of sewage from properties within the city. It is necessary that all of the developed properties within the city be provided with a sewer maintenance program to insure the efficient functioning of this sewer system so that it will not become blocked and result in damage to structures or property within these structures. In order to provide for the proper maintenance of the sewer system, this city council determines that it is necessary and appropriate that a special assessment be levied in an amount which the city council shall from time to time by resolution determine, and which amount shall be based upon the benefits which will be received by the separate properties. (Ord. 565 § 1, 1979)
