INDUSTRIAL WASTES

6.16.040 Penalty for violation.
6.16.010 Necessity declared.
The city council of the city of Cerritos finds, determines and declares that it is necessary to enact an ordinance providing for the regulation of the deposit or discharge of sewerage and industrial waste in the city and is necessary to protect the public health, safety and welfare of the city. (Ord. 192 § 1, 1967)
6.16.020 Ordinance adopted.
Except as hereinafter provided Ordinance No. 6130 of the county of Los Angeles as amended is hereby adopted by reference as the industrial waste ordinance for the city. The ordinance as now constituted and from time to time amended shall constitute and be referred to as the “Industrial Waste Ordinance” of the city of Cerritos. (Ord. 192 § 2, 1967)
6.16.030 Amendments.
Ordinance No. 6130 of the county of Los Angeles, as amended, as hereinabove adopted as the industrial waste ordinance of the city is amended as follows:
(1) Section 1002 is amended by striking therefrom the words “unincorporated territory of the county of Los Angeles” and by substituting therefor “the city of Cerritos.”
(2) Whenever Ordinance No. 6130 refers to unincorporated territory of the county of Los Angeles the same area shall be determined to mean only the property within the geographical bounds of the city of Cerritos.
(3) Parts I, II, III, IV, V and Section 6115 of Part VI are hereby repealed and of no effect.
(4) Sections 6102, 6109, and 6306 of Ordinance No. 6130 of the county of Los Angeles, as amended through June 19, 1970, are added to the industrial waste ordinance of the city by reference. (Ord. 291 § 2, 1970; Ord. 192 § 3, 1967)
6.16.040 Penalty for violation.
Every person violating any provision of this chapter or any permit, license or exception granted hereunder is guilty of a misdemeanor. Upon conviction thereof, he shall be punishable as provided in Section 1.08.020. (Ord. 192 § 4, 1967)
