10.12.010 Prohibited—Special restrictions.
When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle on any of the streets or parts thereof at any time contrary to the prohibition set forth in any resolution adopted by the city council. (Ord. 527 § 2 (part), 1976)
10.12.015 Prohibited on certain streets when.
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 22507 of the California Vehicle Code, the city council does determine that, notwithstanding any other provision of this code to the contrary, whenever the city council does by resolution determine that the parking of vehicles on certain streets or highways should be prohibited or restricted, then the parking restrictions shall be effective at such time as signs or markings giving notice of the said section are in place. 10.12.020 Prohibited—Stopping, parking or standing vehicles on roadway near schools to load or to discharge passengers.
(1) It is unlawful for the driver of any vehicle to stop, park or leave standing that vehicle for the purpose of loading or unloading passengers, unless the vehicle is legally parked in accordance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations, including related signs and curb markings.
(2) No person shall stop, park or leave standing any vehicle in the roadway across from or adjacent to any public or private school or the grounds thereof for the purpose of loading or unloading anyone attending schools in grades K—12, where in order to reach the school or grounds from the vehicle or reach the vehicle from the school or grounds, it is necessary for the pedestrian to walk across a roadway. This section is inapplicable where traffic at that location is controlled by a traffic officer, a school crossing guard, an official traffic control sign or signal; or there is a marked pedestrian crosswalk and the pedestrian complies therewith. 10.12.030 Prohibited—Special restrictions for off-street parking facilities.
When signs are erected giving notice thereof, or markings giving notice of said restrictions are in place, no person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle on any publicly owned off-street parking facility, or portion thereof, at any time contrary to the prohibition set forth in any resolution adopted by the city council. 10.12.035 Prohibited—Off-street publicly owned parking facilities.
When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle on any publicly owned off-street parking facility except in areas specifically designated for parking without first securing written permission from the city. (Ord. 798 § 2, 1998)
10.12.040 Parking on private property prohibited.
No person shall park a vehicle in a private driveway or on private property without the direct or implied consent of the owner or person in lawful possession of such driveway or property. (Ord. 548 § 1, 1977)
10.12.045 Prohibited on private driveway or on private property.
The parking of vehicles on a private driveway or on private property can be prohibited or restricted by the owner or person in lawful possession of such driveway or property. The parking prohibitions or restrictions shall be effective at such time as signs or markings giving notice of the regulations or restrictions are posted. (Ord. 869 § 1, 2003)
10.12.050 Parking on unpaved areas prohibited.
No person shall park a vehicle on any private property in any area other than a paved driveway or parking area. This section shall not be construed to allow the parking of a vehicle on any driveway or other paved area where such parking is otherwise prohibited by law. (Ord. 647 § 1, 1986)
10.12.060 Prohibited—More than one vehicle in designated parking stall.
The parking of more than one vehicle in a designated parking stall on any publicly owned off-street parking facility or on private property is prohibited. (Ord. 869 § 2, 2003)
10.12.065 Parking prohibited during designated days for street sweeping.
The parking of any vehicle on any street during designated days and times for street sweeping is prohibited. (Ord. 915 § 1, 2006)
10.12.070 Penalty for violation.
A violation of this chapter or of any provisions thereof is punishable as provided in Section 1.08.020. (Ord. 869 § 3, 2003)
