2.40.010 Declaration of necessity—Statutory authority.
The city council has determined that there is a community need for a redevelopment agency in the city, and does hereby so declare that there is a need for a redevelopment agency to function within the city, pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 33000 et seq. (Ord. 381-83 § 1, 1983)
2.40.020 City council powers and duties.
The city council declares itself to be the redevelopment agency of the city of Cloverdale, pursuant to Section 33200 of the Health and Safety Code, and finds that such action will serve the public interest and promote the public safety and welfare in an effective manner. The city council further declares that all of the rights, powers, duties, privileges and immunities of the Community Redevelopment Law are vested in the city council. (Ord. 381-83 § 2, 1983)
2.40.030 Official title.
The redevelopment agency created in this chapter is designated as “The Community Development Agency of the City of Cloverdale.” (Ord. 381-83 § 3, 1983)
2.40.040 Compensation and expenses.
Inasmuch as the population of the city is less than two hundred thousand, compensation of the members of the redevelopment agency is established pursuant to Section 33114.5 of the Health and Safety Code, as such section may be amended from time to time; provided, however, that no member shall receive compensation for attending more than four meetings of the agency during any calendar month. In addition, members shall receive their actual and necessary expenses incurred in the discharge of their duties. (Ord. 381-83 § 4, 1983)
