8.16.101 Adoption of the California Energy Code.

For the purpose of regulating energy conservation standards for all residential and nonresidential buildings, the 2022 California Energy Code, promulgated by the California Building Standards Commission, is hereby adopted by reference thereto as if fully set forth in this chapter. Copies of the 2022 California Energy Code are on file in the office of the City Clerk and Building Official. Any changes made by the California Building Standards Commission applicable to the City, including new editions, shall be deemed incorporated herein. If any conflicts between this Code and any other City, State or Federal code should arise, the most restrictive code providing the highest level of safety as determined by the Building Official shall prevail.
