13.02.010 Established – Scope.

There is established in the city a public water supply system, to be known as the “Cotati city water system,” which shall include all public facilities for the production and distribution of water, and all improvements, additions and extensions thereto. (Ord. 195 § 1, 1974).

13.02.020 Purpose of system – Sales outside city permitted when.

It is the purpose of the city water system to provide a source of water for the inhabitants of the city. Sales of water may be made to such consumers connected to the Sonoma County Water Agency (SCWA) aqueduct who resided within the sphere of influence prior to December 1, 1992. (Ord. 585 § 1, 1993: Ord. 195 § 2, 1974).

13.02.030 Rules and regulations.

The city council shall by resolution establish rates for the sale of water, connection fees, and such other rules and regulations as may be necessary for the administration and operation of the city water system. (Ord. 840 § 1, 2013: Ord. 195 § 3, 1974).
