BEGINNING AND VOLUNTARY DISCONTINUANCE OF WATER SERVICE

13.08.020 Temporary discontinuance – Owner request.
13.08.010 Meter installation.
When a meter is hereafter installed by request, the person requesting the installation, or his/her successor in interest, shall pay, in addition to the installation charge, at least the minimum monthly charge for water service thereby made available. (Ord. 376 § 2(part), 1984: Ord. 66 § 1, 1953).
13.08.020 Temporary discontinuance – Owner request.
If a water user desires a temporary discontinuance of service because of the vacancy of the premises served, such service shall not be discontinued except upon written application and upon payment of all charges then due. (Ord. 891 § 2(part), 2020: Ord. 376 § 2(part), 1984: Ord. 66 § 2, 1953).
13.08.030 Service resumption.
Water service shall not be resumed through presently unused meters, or meters hereafter turned off, except upon written application therefor, filed in the office of the city manager, and such application must be accompanied by the payment of a fee which is fixed as a fee for the institution of service through a presently unused meter or for the resumption of service.
