FALSE PERSONATION OF POLICE OFFICER1

A. It is unlawful for any person to:
1. Falsely personate a police officer of the city;
2. Cause, aid or abet the false personation of such officer;
3. Falsely represent himself or another to be a policeman, agent, investigator or representative of the police department of the city; or
4. Falsely represent himself to be connected with or employed by the police department.
B. No provision of this section shall be deemed to prohibit any act or representation prohibited by Sections 529, 530 and 650-1/2 of the Penal Code of California or any other state law. (1964 Code § 17.38.)
9.04.020 Wearing uniform prohibited.
It is unlawful for any person other than a police officer of the city to:
A. Wear the duly prescribed uniform of a police officer of the city;
B. Wear any distinctive part of such uniform; or
C. Wear a uniform any part of which is similar to a distinctive part of such uniform. (1964 Code § 17.39.)
