9.60.010 Posting prohibited in certain places.
No person shall post, either by means of nails, paste, or in any other manner, any cloth, tin, paper or other posters or advertising matter on any sidewalk, curb or tree or any public property in any public street, avenue or place in the city. (1964 Code § 3.1.)
9.60.020 Flammable material – Posting prohibited.
It is unlawful to post any bill or advertisement made of flammable material on any billboard, building, post or pole made of wood or flammable material within the city. (1964 Code § 3.2.)
9.60.030 Handbill distribution prohibited – Exception.
It is unlawful for any person to distribute or throw upon any street, alley or public place or upon any private yard, lawn, driveway, sidewalks, porch or steps of any residence or upon or in any part of any structure, automobile or other vehicle or upon any vacant property in the city any advertising sample, handbill, dodger, circular, booklet or other notice of commercial advertising, whether or not enclosed in or attached to a newspaper; provided, that nothing in this section shall prohibit the distribution and delivery of any newspaper which is capable of being entered as second-class matter under the provisions of the United States Post Office Regulation of March 3, 1879, and other United States statutes.
