12.20.010 Vending.
A. No person shall be permitted to place upon any public street, alley, or sidewalk within the corporate limits of the city any stand of any type or description for the purpose of operating any game of chance or amusement or merchandise of any type or description.
B. No automobile, truck, or vehicle of any type or description shall be permitted to park upon any public street, alley, or sidewalk within the corporate limits of the city for the purpose of vending, or offering for sale, trade, or barter, any soft drinks, fruits, vegetables or merchandise of any description. 12.20.020 Congregations impeding public travel.
The obstruction of any walk, sidewalk, or crossing within the city by any person or the collection or congregation of persons in such manner as to impede public travel thereon, or to injuriously affect or interfere with the business of any person on such walk, sidewalk, or crossing is prohibited; and it is made the duty of any peace officer to order any such person to move on, or such collection or congregation of persons to quietly disperse and the failure or refusal of any person to promptly obey such an order of any peace officer shall be deemed a misdemeanor. (Code 1961 § 21-20).
12.20.028 Prohibition of drinking alcoholic beverages on public streets, alleys, sidewalks, alleyways and public parking lots.
A. No person shall have in his or her possession any bottle, can or other receptacle containing any alcoholic beverage which has been opened or the seal removed upon any public street, sidewalk, alley or public parking lot within the city limits.
B. Violation of the provisions of this section is declared to be an infraction. (Ord. 87-520 § 1).
12.20.030 Trees.
It shall be the duty of the owner or occupant upon or in front of whose land any tree grows with boughs that extend over any portion of the street in the city to keep the same so trimmed that the limbs or branches do not obstruct the travel or passage of the sidewalk. (Code 1961 § 21-21).
12.20.040 Billposting.
A. It is unlawful for any person to stick or paint or cause to be stuck or painted any bill, poster, or sign upon any sidewalk.
B. It is unlawful for any person to fasten or cause to be fastened to any wall, fence or post any bill, poster, or sign except by means of the use of paste.
C. It is unlawful for any person to distribute loose bills, posters, or circular letters in any street or in the yard of any residence bordering thereon. (Code 1961 §§ 21-22 – 21-24).
12.20.050 Awnings.
A. No person shall maintain any awning or other projection or suffer such awning or projection to remain at a height of less than six and one-half feet over any sidewalk in front of the premises owned, occupied, or controlled by him in the city.
B. No person shall construct any wooden awning over any sidewalk. (Code 1961 §§ 21-25, 21-26).
12.20.060 Development and maintenance.
The city administrator shall direct and control the planting and maintenance of street trees, shrubs, and plants on public streets. He shall manage the development and maintenance of public parks in accordance with the general plan of the commission. (Code 1961 § 16-30).
