15.22.010 Adoption of existing building code.

Except as may otherwise be provided in this title, the California Existing Building Code, 2022 Edition (Part 10 of Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations) and Appendix A (Guidelines for the Seismic Retrofit of Existing Buildings) are hereby adopted by reference and made a part of this chapter as though set forth in full herein and shall constitute the minimum standards to promote public safety and welfare, including those regulations adopted to reduce the risk of death or injury that may result from the effects of earthquakes on existing unreinforced masonry bearing walls. These provisions of Title 24, Part 10 shall comprise the existing buildings code of the city of Gardena. (Ord. 1851 § 9, 2023)
