2.08.010 Time and place of regular City Council meetings.2
A. The City Council shall hold regular meetings on the first and third Mondays of each and every calendar month beginning at 6:00 p.m. unless, by a majority vote of Councilmembers present and eligible to vote on the matter at a regular City Council meeting, the City Council elects to cancel a regularly scheduled City Council meeting. In the event that a regular City Council meeting falls on a recognized City holiday, the meeting shall be held on the next regular business day at 6:00 p.m., or at such other time as the City Council may choose. Regular City Council meetings shall be held at City Hall, 401 Grove Street, Healdsburg, CA.
B. The time and/or the place of regular City Council meetings may be amended by City Council resolution following adequate notice of an intent to amend the regular meeting time and/or place of such meetings. A resolution changing the regular meeting time and/or meeting place of a regular City Council meeting shall become effective 60 days following adoption of such resolution. 2.08.020 Salaries of members of the City Council.
Under the authority of California Government Code Section 36516, each member of the City Council shall receive a monthly salary of $950.00. Salaries shall be adjusted according to the provisions of California Government Code Section 36516.5, as amended from time to time. (Ord. 1238 § 2, 2024; Ord. 878 § 1, 1992. Code 1964 § 2-12.)
2.08.030 Agenda, minutes and order of business.
Policies and procedures regarding preparation of City Council agenda, order of business, and minutes shall be stated in a City policy adopted by resolution of the City Council. (Ord. 878 § 1, 1992. Code 1964 § 2-13.)
2.08.040 Procedures for filling of Council vacancy.
A vacancy on the City Council may be filled by appointment or call of a special election in the manner prescribed in Government Code Section 36512, as amended from time to time. Alternatively, the City Council may appoint a person to fill a vacancy on the City Council to hold the office only until the date of a special election, which shall be immediately called to fill the remainder of the term. The special election may be held on the date of the next regularly established election or the next regularly scheduled municipal election to be held throughout the City not less than 114 days from the date of the call of the special election.
