WHEELED CONVEYANCES IN PUBLIC PLACES

9.28.010 Prohibited uses.
The riding of any wheeled conveyance propelled by the power of the rider is regulated within the city in the places described in this chapter. The regulation applies, by way of example but not limitation, to bicycles, tricycles, wagons, roller skates, skateboards, and the like. However, specifically excepted are wheeled conveyances used principally as medically assistive devices or for the aid or assistance of physically limited or disabled persons. (Ord. 394 § 1, 1987).
9.28.020 Prohibited acts in city parks or public places.
The riding of any wheeled conveyance is prohibited in and on all city parks and public property of the city; provided, however, the city council may by resolution provide designated areas or times for the conduct of such activities. (Ord. 394 § 1, 1987).
9.28.030 Prohibited acts on sidewalks or public places.
The riding of any wheeled conveyance is prohibited in and on all sidewalks and public ways in those parts of the city which are designated C-1, C‑2, I-1 or I-2 zones according to the official zoning map; provided, however, the city council may by resolution provide designated areas or times for the conduct of such activities. (Ord. 394 § 1, 1987).
9.28.040 Penalty.
The penalty for any violation of the acts prohibited by this chapter shall be an infraction. (Ord. 394 § 1, 1987).
