PEDESTRIAN CROSSWALKS

10.52.010 Establishment.
Crosswalks shall be established and maintained by the city traffic engineer at all intersections within the central traffic district and at such intersections outside the central traffic district as he may determine there is a particular hazard to pedestrians crossing the roadway. Crosswalks may also be established between intersections by resolution or ordinance of the city council. (Ord. 74-6 § 9(a), 1974)
10.52.020 Markings.
The city traffic engineer shall designate and maintain all such crosswalks by appropriate devices, marks, or lines upon the surface of the roadway. (Ord. 74-6 § 9(b), 1974)
10.52.030 Signposting.
The city traffic engineer may place signs at or adjacent to an intersection or other place in respect to any crosswalk directing that pedestrians shall not cross in the crosswalk so indicated. (Ord. 74-6 § 9(c), 1974)
10.52.040 Use required.
No pedestrian in the central traffic district or in any business district shall cross a roadway except in a crosswalk. (Ord. 74-6 § 9.1, 1974)
