Nothing contained in this code shall be deemed to require any change in the plans, construction or designated use of any building for which a building permit has been properly issued, in accordance with the provisions of ordinances then effective, and upon which actual construction has been started prior to the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter, or pertinent amendments thereto; provided, that in all such cases actual construction shall be diligently carried on until completion of the building. 6-05-020 Existing easements, covenants or agreements.
This code is not intended to interfere with, abrogate, or annul any easements, covenants, deed restrictions, or other agreements between parties; except, that where this code imposes a greater restriction upon the use of buildings or premises or upon the height of buildings, or requires larger open spaces than are imposed by such other ordinances, rules, regulations, easements, covenants, deed restrictions, or other agreements, the provisions of this code shall control.
