REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY.
a. There is a need for a Redevelopment Agency to function in this community, and such Agency is permitted to transact any business and to exercise any powers conferred thereon by the provisions of the Community Redevelopment Law (Part 1, commencing with Section 33000, of Division 24 of the Health and Safety Code of the State of California).
b. Pursuant to Section 33200 of the Health and Safety Code of the State of California, the City Council is declared to be the Redevelopment Agency, and all rights, powers, duties, privileges and immunities which are vested by the Community Redevelopment Law in such an agency shall be vested in the City Council, except as otherwise provided by the Community Redevelopment Law.
c. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this section in the office of the Secretary of State.
