POOL HALLS.

4-30.1 Minors in Pool Halls.

a. As used in this section, the terms pool hall or billiard parlor shall mean any establishment within the City open to the general public and maintaining or permitting to be maintained one (1) or more pool or billiard tables available for public use.

b. Except as provided in this subsection no person shall be permitted to visit, enter upon or play in any pool or billiard game, in any billiard parlor or pool hall unless he shall have reached his eighteenth (18) birthday.

c. Except as provided in this subsection, it shall be unlawful for the proprietor, manager or person in charge of or in control of any billiard parlor or pool hall in the City, or for any other person, to allow or permit any person who has not reached his eighteenth (18) birthday to visit, enter upon or play in any pool or billiard games, or in any pool hall or billiard parlor in his charge, ownership or management.

d. Minors who have reached their fourteenth (14) birthday may be permitted upon the premises of a pool hall or billiard parlor if the premises shall comply and be in accordance with the following requirements:

1. The premises shall be so constructed so as to be fully exposed to public view from the public sidewalk and thoroughfare on the front portion of the building, which exposure to public view shall be unobstructed except by necessary roof supports.

2. No alcoholic beverages of any nature whatsoever shall be permitted to be served to the general public upon the premises.

3. At all times when the premises are open to the general public, they shall be well lighted. (Code 1972 §4-1)
