SPEED LIMITS

4.25.010 Decrease of state law maximum speed.
Pursuant to authority contained in the California Vehicle Code, it is determined upon the basis of an engineering and traffic survey that the speed permitted by state law outside of business and residence districts as applicable upon the following streets is greater than is reasonable or safe under the conditions found to exist upon such streets and it is declared that the prima facie speed limit shall be as herein set forth on those streets or parts of streets herein designated when signs are erected giving notice thereof.

4.25.020 Increase of state law maximum speed.
Pursuant to authority contained in the California Vehicle Code, it is determined upon the basis of an engineering and traffic survey that a speed greater than that permitted by state law as applicable upon the following streets would facilitate the orderly movement of vehicular traffic and would be reasonable and safe under the conditions found to exist upon such streets, and it is declared that the prima facie speed limit shall be as hereinafter set forth on those streets or parts of streets herein designated when signs are erected giving notice thereof:

4.25.030 Prima facie speed as set by state law.
Pursuant to authority contained in the California Vehicle Code, it is determined upon the basis of an engineering and traffic survey that the prima facie speed of twenty-five miles per hour for business and residence districts upon the following streets is the maximum reasonable and safe speed under the conditions found upon such streets and it is declared that the prima facie speed shall be as herein set forth on those streets or parts of streets herein designated when signs are erected giving notice thereof:
