GAMBLING AND RELATED ACTIVITIES

(A) Except as provided in this chapter, Ordinance No. 461 of the County as amended and in effect on April 9, 1975, being the “prohibiting gambling and related activities ordinance of the County of Los Angeles” is adopted as the “prohibiting gambling and related activities ordinance” of the City.
(B) Three copies of Ordinance No. 461 of the County as amended and in effect on April 9, 1975, have been filed in the office of the City Clerk and shall be at all times maintained by the City Clerk for use and examination by the public. (Ord. 259 § 2, 1975)
5.28.020 Definitions.
Whenever any of the following names or terms are used in Ordinance No. 461 of the County as amended and in effect on April 9, 1975, each such name or term shall be deemed or construed to have the meaning ascribed to it in this section as follows:
(A) “Board of Supervisors” means the City Council.
(B) “County” or “County of Los Angeles” or “unincorporated area” means the City.
(C) “County Treasury” means the City Treasury.
(D) “Sheriff” means the Chief of Police. (Ord. 259 § 3, 1975)
