POOL AND BILLIARDS—CARD ROOMS

5.20.010 Hours prohibited.
It is unlawful for any proprietor or manager of any pool, billiard or cardroom, within the corporate limits of the city, or any agent or employee thereof, to allow pool, billiards, cards or any other game or games usually played in the pool, billiard or cardroom, to be so played or conducted therein between the hours of two a.m. and six a.m. of each and every day in the week. 5.20.020 Persons under eighteen years—Prohibited in cardrooms.
It is unlawful for any person under the age of eighteen years to visit, frequent, be or remain in any public cardroom within the corporate limits of the city, or to play cards or other games as defined in Sections 9.16.010 and 9.16.020. (Ord. 313 § 1, 1979: Ord. 74 § 4, 1934).
5.20.030 Allowing persons under eighteen years prohibited—Cardrooms.
It is unlawful for any proprietor of any cardroom within the corporate limits of the city, or any manager, agent or employee of such proprietor, to allow any person under the age of eighteen years to play cards or other games, as defined in Sections 9.16.010 and 9.16.020, in said room, or to visit, frequent, be or remain in said room. (Ord. 313 § 3, 1979: Ord. 74 § 5, 1934).
5.20.040 Penalty for violation.
Any person violating any provision of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine not less than one hundred dollars, nor more than three hundred dollars, or by imprisonment in the county jail, or the city jail not exceeding three months or by both such fine and imprisonment.
