MINOR’S CURFEW

9.32.010 Persons under eighteen years prohibited to loiter during certain hours.

It is unlawful for any minor under the age of eighteen years to loiter on a public street or in or about any other public place in the city between the hours of eleven p.m. and five a.m. of the day immediately following, unless the minor is accompanied by his parent, guardian or an adult person having legal control or charge of the minor. (Ord. 145 § 1, 1956).

9.32.020 Encouraging persons under eighteen years to loiter prohibited.

It is unlawful for any person to assist, aid, abet or encourage any minor under the age of eighteen years to loiter on a public street or in or about any other public place in the city between the hours of eleven p.m. and five a.m. of the day immediately following, unless such minor is accompanied by a parent, guardian or other adult person having the legal control or charge of such minor. (Ord. 145 § 3, 1956).

9.32.030 Penalty for violations.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars, or by imprisonment in the county jail not to exceed six months or by both such fine and imprisonment.
