CITY AUDITOR

2.50.010 Defined.
The City Auditor is defined for operational identity and is appointed annually by a majority of the Council on terms of scope of audit services and price as made definite by a professional audit services contract. The City Auditor shall be a certified public accountant (CPA) firm or individual experienced in municipal accounting who provides annual audit services and a final annual audit report to the City on the prior year’s books of account and accounting system. The City Auditor shall also review City business practices, and provide accounting guidance as appropriate. Audit services provided shall be as defined by law, ordinance, resolution, municipal accounting standards and the audit services contract. [Ord. 213A § 2.09.003, 1992.]
