Article 1. Prohibited Where

9-4-100 Prohibition – Specified area.

No person shall ride on or operate skateboards, roller skates, roller blades or similar devices which are self-propelled in or upon any public buildings or structures, wherever located within city limits or on the streets, alleys, sidewalks, plazas, parks, tennis courts, malls, and other public areas including the boundary streets and sidewalks within the following location: The area bounded to the north by Second Street, south by Fourth Street, east by Franklin Street and west by Muckelemi Street.

9-4-105 Prohibition – Certain hours.

In all other public areas within city limits, including, but not limited to, streets, alleys, sidewalks, plazas, parks, and malls, riding or operating is prohibited between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. or during darkness.

9-4-110 Penalty.

Any person violating this Chapter shall be guilty of an infraction and, upon conviction, shall be punished as set forth in California Vehicle Code Section 42001.
