WHARF VEHICLE REGULATIONS

14.06.010 SPEED LIMIT.
(a) No truck, whether propelled by motor or otherwise, shall travel over the Municipal Wharf at a rate of speed in excess of ten miles per hour.
(b) No other type of vehicle shall travel over the Municipal Wharf at a rate of speed in excess of fifteen miles per hour.

14.06.020 WHARF PARKING.
The edge of the regular traveled way on the wharf shall be designated by a white line. No vehicle shall be parked in such manner as to overhang the line or to intrude into the designated travel way, or to otherwise infringe on the safe and free flow of traffic on the wharf. Vehicles parked in violation of this section will be towed away at the owner’s expense.

14.06.025 WHARF PARKING – NO BACKING IN.
When the city traffic engineer has determined that backing the rear of a motor vehicle into a parking space on the Municipal Wharf inhibits traffic circulation and creates congestion, she or he shall have signs installed on the wharf that prohibit backing in.
The fines assessed for violation of this section shall be established by City Council resolution.

14.06.030 DELIVERIES.
No delivery of goods, wares or merchandise shall be made to any of the business establishments on the wharf by double parking, or in any other manner so as to in any way obstruct or impede the flow of traffic within the regular traveled way, between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. every day.
The fines assessed for violation of this section shall be established by City Council resolution.

14.06.040 VEHICLE WEIGHT LIMIT ON WHARF.
It is unlawful for any vehicle with a gross weight in excess of eight tons to enter upon the Municipal Wharf. Violation of this section shall be punishable by a minimum fine determined by the following schedule:

14.06.050 EXCEPTION TO WEIGHT LIMITS.
This chapter does not apply to emergency or public service vehicles.

14.06.060 ENFORCEMENT.
Any person authorized to issue citations under Title 4 of this code may enforce this chapter.
