GEOGRAPHIC LIMITS

19.10.020 Geographic limits referred to in certain sections of the 2022 California Fire Code.
19.10.010 ESTABLISHED.
The geographic limits referred to in certain sections of the Fire Code of the city of Santa Cruz are hereby established as follows:
Establishment of limits of districts in which storage of flammable cryogenic fluids in stationary containers is to be prohibited. The limits referred to in Section 5806.2 of the Fire Code of the city of Santa Cruz in which storage of flammable cryogenic fluids in stationary containers is prohibited are hereby established as the political boundary of the city of Santa Cruz.
Exceptions:
1. The storage of flammable cryogenic fluids in stationary containers is allowed in an M-2 Zone with a conditional use permit issued by the planning department.
2. The storage of flammable cryogenic fluids in stationary containers is allowed in an M-3 Zone.
Establishment of limits of districts in which storage of flammable or combustible liquids in outside aboveground tanks is prohibited. The limits referred to in Sections 5704.2.9.6 and 5706.2.4.4 of the Fire Code of the city of Santa Cruz in which the storage of Class I flammable liquids or Class II combustible liquids in aboveground tanks outside of buildings is restricted are hereby established as the incorporated area of the political boundary of the city of Santa Cruz.
Exceptions: Such use is allowed in the following zoning districts:
1. The storage of Class I flammable liquids or Class II combustible liquids in aboveground tanks outside of buildings is allowed in A or A-1 Zones;
2. The storage of Class I flammable liquids or Class II combustible liquids in aboveground tanks outside of buildings is allowed in M-1, M-2 or M-3 Zones;
3. The storage of Class I flammable liquids or Class II combustible liquids in aboveground tanks outside of buildings is allowed in NR Zones.

19.10.020 GEOGRAPHIC LIMITS REFERRED TO IN CERTAIN SECTIONS OF THE 2022 CALIFORNIA FIRE CODE.
The geographic limits referred to in certain sections of the 2022 California Fire Code are hereby established as follows:
Section 5704.2.9.6.1 (geographic limits in which the storage of Class I and Class II liquids in aboveground tanks outside of buildings is prohibited): city of Santa Cruz.
Section 5706.2.4.4 (geographic limits in which the storage of Class I and Class II liquids in aboveground tanks is prohibited): city of Santa Cruz.
Section 5806.2 (geographic limits in which the storage of flammable cryogenic fluids in stationary containers is prohibited): city of Santa Cruz.
Section 6104.2 (geographic limits in which the storage of liquefied petroleum gas is restricted for the protection of heavily populated or congested areas): city of Santa Cruz.
