FEES, PENALTIES AND INVESTIGATIONS

8.04.010 Fees.

8.04.020 Penalties and investigation fee.
Whenever work for which a permit is required by this title has been commenced without first obtaining the permit, a special investigation shall be made before a permit may be issued for such work. Both a penalty and investigation fee, in addition to the permit fee, may be collected whether or not permit is then or subsequently issued. Such penalty shall be established by resolution of the Sausalito City Council in accordance with provisions of Section 17951 of the Health and Safety Code. The investigation fee shall be equal to the amount of the permit fee required by this title. The payment of such penalty and investigation fee shall not exempt an applicant from compliance with all other provisions of this title nor from the penalty prescribed by law.
