MISCELLANEOUS DRIVING RULES

10.36.010 Driving through funeral procession.

No driver of a vehicle shall drive between the vehicles comprising a funeral procession while such procession is in motion and when the vehicles therein are conspicuously designated. This provision shall not apply at intersections where traffic is controlled by official traffic signals or police officers. (Ord. 17, 1955; prior code § 9-240)

10.36.020 Driving over new pavement.

No person shall ride or drive any animals or any vehicle over or across any newly paved street or freshly painted markings in any street where a barrier or sign is in place warning persons not to drive over or across such pavement or marking, or when a sign is in place stating that the street or any portion thereof is closed. (Ord. 17, 1955; prior code § 9-244)

10.36.030 Following fire apparatus.

It is unlawful for the driver of any vehicle, other than one on official business, to follow any fire apparatus traveling in response to a fire alarm closer than five hundred feet, or to park, stop, or stand any vehicle within five hundred feet where the fire apparatus has stopped in answer to a fire alarm.
