ARTICLE 1 - CALIFORNIA MECHANICAL CODE

89.1.1 ADOPTION OF CALIFORNIA MECHANICAL CODE.
That certain document in book form, entitled "California Mechanical Code, 2022 Edition", and Appendices A, B, C, D, E, F, and G of the Code, published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, and The California Building Standards Commission, not less than one (1) copy of which has been and is now filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Torrance, save and except such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified, or amended by the ordinance codified in this article, are hereby adopted by the City Council of the City of Torrance as the Mechanical Code of the City of Torrance.
ARTICLE 2 - AMENDMENTS TO UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE

89.2.1 MECHANICAL PERMIT FEES.
Fees for the issuance of a mechanical permit shall be set by resolution of the City Council adopted from time to time.

Section 104.5 and Table 104.5 of Chapter 1, Division II of the California Mechanical Code, 2022 Edition, is deleted in its entirety.
89.2.3 ROOF MOUNTED EQUIPMENT PLATFORMS. [CLIMATIC]
Section 303.8.7 of the California Mechanical Code, 2022 Edition, is hereby added to read in its entirety as follows:
303.8.7 Roof Mounted Equipment Platforms. All roof mounted equipment shall be located on raised platforms to allow clearance for re-roofing. The Building Official shall institute design specification for platforms on various roof configurations.
