§3510 BILLING PERIOD
Bills for water service will be rendered monthly or as otherwise provided in the rate schedules. (Ord. 478, §111A-1, adopted 1954)
§3511 METER READINGS
Meters will be read at regular intervals for the preparation of regular bills and as required for the preparation of opening bills, closing bills, and special bills. (Ord. 478, §111A-2, adopted 1954)
§3512 SEPARATE METERS; READINGS NOT COMBINED; EXCEPTIONS
Each meter on a customer’s premises will be considered separately and the readings of two (2) or more meters will not be combined except where combination of meter readings is specifically provided for in a rate schedule, or where the city’s operating convenience or necessity may require the use of more than one meter, or a battery of meters. In this case, the monthly minimum charge will be computed upon the resultant diameter of the total combined discharge areas of such meters, unless otherwise provided in the rate schedules. §3513 MINIMUM CHARGE
A. Should the total period of service be fifteen (15) days or less in any one month, the maximum charge will be one-half (1/2) of the specified monthly fixed charge, or minimum charge.
B. Should the total period of service be sixteen (16) days or more in any one month, no proration will be made and no bill shall be less than the specified monthly fixed charge, or minimum charge. (Ord. 478, §111A-2b, adopted 1954; Ord. 654, §1, adopted 1974)
§3514 PAYMENT OF BILLS
Bills are due and payable on presentation and payment may be made at the city’s office or to an authorized collector. (Ord. 478, §111B-1, adopted 1954)
§3515 CLOSING BILLS
Closing bills, where service is to be discontinued, will be due and payable on presentation, and collection may be made at time of presentation. (Ord. 478, §111B-2, adopted 1954)
§3516 APPLICABLE RATE ADOPTION BY RESOLUTION
The city council may, by resolution, adopt and from time to time modify, amend or repeal any of the rates or service charges to be levied, assessed, charged and collected for water service. Applicable rate resolutions shall be maintained in sufficient quantity for distribution to water customers upon request. (Ord. 584, §1, adopted 1966; Ord. 1066, §1, adopted 2005)
