CRIMES AGAINST PUBLIC SAFETY
ARTICLE 1. SPRING BLADE KNIVES PROHIBITED

§6200 SALE PROHIBITED
No person, whether as principal, agent or otherwise, shall sell, offer for sale, exchange, give or loan to another person or to the general public, or cause or permit to be sold, offered for sale, exchanged, given or loaned to another person or to the general public any type of spring blade or push button knife regardless of the length of the blade1. §6201 POSSESSION PROHIBITED
It shall be unlawful for any person to have in his possession, care, custody or control, whether concealed upon his person or not, any type of spring blade or push button knife, regardless of the length of the blade. (Ord. 519, §2, adopted 1956)
§6202 URGENCY MEASURE
This article is enacted as an emergency measure and shall become effective immediately upon adoption. (Ord. 519, §5, adopted 1956)
§6203 PENALTY FOR VIOLATION
Every person violating any provisions of this Article shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) or by imprisonment of not more than six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
