§8130 SANITARY SEWERS REQUIRED

The subdivider shall make adequate provision for the disposal of all sanitary wastes which will originate within the proposed subdivision. This shall be accomplished by connection to the sewage collector systems of either the City or the Ukiah Valley Sanitation District. (Ord. 533, §4.41, adopted 1958)

§8131 STANDARDS FOR CONSTRUCTION

Street sewer laterals or collection lines constructed in subdivisions shall be constructed in accordance with the "Standard Specifications" and shall be designed to meet the following minimum standards set forth in this Article. (Ord. 533, §4.42, adopted 1958)

§8132 CAPACITY

Sewer laterals and collecting lines shall be designed to carry the flow from the contributing area assuming that each single-family unit will contribute four hundred (400) gallons of sanitary wastes each twenty four (24) hours and providing for a peak load of twice the average flow. No street main shall be smaller than six inches (6") in diameter. (Ord. 533, §4.421, adopted 1958)

§8133 GRADE

A minimum grade of thirty one-hundredths percent (0.30%) will be maintained for all sewers constructed in subdivisions. Sewer grades shall not exceed three percent (3%). (Ord. 533, §4.422, adopted 1958)

§8134 MANHOLES

Manholes shall be provided at all changes in grades and at all changes in directions but in no case shall be spaced further than three hundred feet (300’) center to center. Drop manholes shall be provided where the inlet is more than two feet (2’) above the invert of the manhole. All manholes shall be constructed to precast concrete sections in accordance with the "Standard Specifications". (Ord. 533, §4.423, adopted 1958)

§8135 MATERIAL FOR SEWER MAINS

All sewer mains shall be constructed of Class 1 asbestos cement sewer pipe or accepted equal in accordance with the "Standard Specifications". (Ord. 533, §4.424, adopted 1958)

§8136 SERVICE LATERALS

The subdivider shall install a "Y" branch in each lateral for each lot in the subdivision and a four inch (4") house connection lateral shall be constructed from the street main to the property line for each lot. House connections shall be constructed of cement asbestos house connection pipe on a minimum grade of one percent (1%) and in accordance with the "Standard Specifications". §8137 LOCATION OF SEWERS

Sanitary sewers shall be located along the centerline of the streets. (Ord. 533, §4.426, adopted 1958)

§8138 COMPUTATIONS REQUIRED ON REQUEST

The City Engineer may require the submission of computations to indicate compliance with the standards set forth in this Article. (Ord. 533, §4.427, adopted 1958)
