BONDS OF CITY OFFICIALS

2.16.010 Established for city clerk and treasurer.
A. The following named city officials shall each, before entering upon the duties of their respective offices, give a good and sufficient surety company bond to the city, duly approved by the city attorney, and conditioned upon the faithful performance and discharge of their respective duties and for proper application and payment of all money or property coming into their hands by virtue of their offices in the following amounts:
1. City clerk, ten thousand dollars;
2. City treasurer, ten thousand dollars.
B. The costs of such surety bonds shall be paid by the city. (Prior code §2.32).
